REGISTRATION
INFORMATION
Advance and on-site registration includes admission to all
platform sessions, poster sessions, the exhibit area and
coffee breaks. Workshops and lunches are NOT included in
the full registration fee, but may be purchased separately
on the conference registration form.
Registration
costs are $550 for the full three days or
$225 per day.
Registration costs for Benefactors, Sponsors, Supporters
and Regulators is $295 for the full three
days or $150 per day.
Workshops cost between $110 and $300 (see
registration form).
Workshop only (not attending the conference) $275
each.
Registrations
received after September 24, 2010, will be charged
a $75 late fee.
All
charge orders must be signed. Full payment, including
those pre-registrations secured by purchase order must be
remitted at the on-site registration. Non-compliance will
result in a $35.00 processing fee for any resulting
billings. Phone-in registrations will not be accepted.

PURCHASE
ORDERS
will be accepted from institutions and agencies for the
purpose of pre-registration only.

CANCELLATIONS
on or before October 1, 2010, will receive a full refund
minus a $50.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations made
after October 1, 2010 will be charged a $100.00
cancellation fee or you may substitute a conferee rather
than cancel the registration entirely. There will be no
refunds for cancellations made after October 11, 2010.

WORKSHOPS
(Not included in conference registration)
Early
registration is encouraged as space is limited and
materials must be prepared in advance. Please check the workshop schedule
carefully when selecting workshops - same day workshops
run simultaneously.

POSTER
SESSIONS
Posters may be viewed throughout the main conference
areas on Tuesday and Wednesday. Authors
will be available at their posters for individual
discussion on Tuesday and
Wednesday, October 19 - 20, from 4-6
pm.

EXHIBIT
INFORMATION
An exhibition of relevant technologies and services will
be featured Tuesday, October 19, from 8:30am - 6:00pm,
Wednesday, October 20, from 8:30am - 7:00pm and
Thursday, October 21, from 8:30am -12:00pm.

LOCATION
AND TRAVEL INFORMATION
The
conference will take place in the Murray D. Lincoln
Campus Center, University of Massachusetts at Amherst,
located in the scenic Connecticut River Valley. Amherst
is served by major airlines through Bradley
International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut
(about 1 hour by car) and Logan Airport in Boston (about
2 hours by car). Rental
car and bus service are available from both airports.
There
are two services that provide shuttle service to and from
both airports, Amtrak, and bus stations to the University
of Massachusetts - Seemo Shuttle Service and Valley
Transporter.

TO UMASS
Getting
to the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA…
From the North
Route 91 south to exit 25 – At the end of the ramp turn
left and follow the road to the intersection – turn
right onto routes 5 & 10 South – go 1 mile, then
left onto Route 116 South, then 8 miles to UMass exit –
Left at the end to the ramp onto Massachusetts Avenue.
From
the South
Route 91 North to exit 19 (Northampton / Amherst) – Right onto Route 9 and
go approximately 4.5 miles to Route 116 North (turn left at the lights) –
1 mile to UMass exit – Right at the end of the ramp onto Massachusetts
Avenue.
From
the East
Mass
Pike (Route 90) West to Exit 4 (West Springfield) onto Route 91 North to
exit 19 (Northampton / Amherst) – Right onto Route 9 and go approximately
4.5 miles to Route 116 North (turn left at the lights) – 1 mile to UMass

- Boyden Gymnasium is on the corner of Commonwealth and Massachusetts
Avenues - At the next set of
lights turn right onto Campus Center Way and proceed up Campus Center Way -
The entrance to the Campus Center Parking garage is at the top of the hill
on the right.
Getting
to the Murray D. Lincoln Campus Center…
From the Parking Garage
As you enter the garage proceed down the ramp and park on level 2.
An enclosed entrance way leads directly from level 2 onto the Campus
Center Concourse (Level 2). As you enter the Concourse you will see informational signs
directing you to the Soils Conference Registration. If you are a hotel guest and are looking for the Campus
Center Hotel Lobby, proceed to the left, and walk past the University Store;
the elevators are on the right. The
Hotel Lobby is on the third floor.

ACCOMMODATION
INFORMATION
Registrants
are responsible for their own hotel arrangements. We
recommend making reservations early. Area hotel
information is provided below. For those attendees wishing
to stay at the Campus Center Hotel where the conference

- you must identify the conference as hotel block 1755.
The cut-off date for the Campus Center Hotel is
