Poster Presenter Information

Your poster will be presented during the poster session, which will be held from 4pm to 6pm, Tuesday, October 16, and  from 4pm to 6pm, Wednesday, October 17.  Please consult the preliminary program (posted on the website) to determine which day your poster will be presented.  You will be expected to be at your poster during the poster session to discuss your work with conferees.  Plan to have your poster assembled no later than 4pm the day of your presentation. You will be responsible for disassembling your poster after 6pm of the day of your presentation.

Please refer to the poster presentation guidelines. The space of the poster will be 40 by 60 inches.  Most posters will be affixed to foam core sheets that we will provide; some posters will be assigned to free-standing cork board surfaces or cork-surfaced walls.  When you arrive, come to the Registration desk on the first floor of the Campus Center. We will provide you with your registration materials, your poster location and push pins or doublestick tape to affix your poster elements to the surface. 

Poster presenters will receive a reduced registration rate of  $275 to attend the entire conference. You will be responsible for paying for your meals and any evening workshops you choose to attend, as well as arranging and paying for your own travel and lodging. Please register yourself no later than August 28, 2007.  Poster Presenters who do not register by August 28,  will be removed from the final program. You can register on line.

We will need the following from you by August 1, 2007.

·         Resubmit your abstract ONLY if you need to make any changes.  Otherwise the original abstract you submitted will be posted at our WEB site (www.UMassSoils.com) and printed in the conference abstract book.  Please refer to the Abstract Submission Guidelines

·      We encourage you to submit a manuscript for publication in the conference proceedings Contaminated Soils, Vol 13.  This year we are developing an on line submission process.  In addition, for the first time, we will be conducting a peer review of the manuscripts.  More information will be posted about the on line submission process as soon as the site is available.   Manuscripts are due September 17, 2007.  The proceedings will be published mid-2008.  Please refer to the Manuscript Guidelines
